What’s happening, sit back and join us as we provide live coverage during the March for Gaza in Hartford CT, happening Saturday 28th October which started at 12pm EST. We will be back on at 2:30pm EST, we had callers earlier from Hawaii and the UK chiming in on what’s happening in Gaza and much more! We are coming back to share post rally thoughts and more on what is happening in Palestine. Why are children so expendable? We talk about that and more this episode and will be back again tomorrow at 3pm EST to provide coverage during and after the rally happening in Waterbury CT, starting at 3pm, convening at City Hall. 
It is important that we note that this rally was very peaceful and not white washed, it was diverse, Palestinians, Black and Brown people were not left out or to the back.

Who asked Gen Z?

We challenge that notion and are having a discussion with a couple of youth who are sharing their thoughts on organizing and hearing from them what they think about counter protests and the right wing - is that even a thing? How do they view community organizing, is that even a thing? How do they know if/when it is effective? What role does social media play in their view of contemporary social injustices and politics? Hear their thoughts on that and recount the walk out that happened in support of Palestine at SCSU New Haven, CT today.

Outside is AmeriKKKa

Get comfy and let’s unpack it, there’s a lot happening there and if you do not think it affects you here, well, you’re wrong and it will do so even more soon. On this episode of “Outside is AmeriKKKa” thoughts will be shared on the recent rally in support of Palestine led by Gen Z that 
happened in New Haven, the white saviorism that tried to diminish it and of course you know there had to be Karens and provocateurs. But why is that? And why should Black and Brown advocates and activists monitor the crowd, and manage our events. We will talk about why our representation and presence is so important, why we should know that our events will be marked and discuss if is what is happening in Gaza, really only about Palestine or is the world getting a mirror view of much more about the United States and allegedly progressive states like Connecticut and cities like New Haven? Why haven’t more Black and Brown legislators been vocal about a Ceasefire or said anything about Palestine. We will also be sharing information about an upcoming rally happening tomorrow in New Britain, outside the Greek Orthodox Church at 5pm.

Why is the voice of the Pro Palestine activists and advocates being silenced?  It is important that we highlight that not only we covered the rally earlier, but it was quite diverse, with a lot of Black and Brown people, not white washed and heavily about white people and their issues. What should white people do?

What's happening people? We are back with another episode for the Sound of Black and Brown series “What should white people do?” From ‘progressives’ to ‘liberals’ to ‘saviors’ many have come forward to justify why there’s always money in the budget for war, guess we don’t need jobs, education, housing or food that bad right? The world is watching apartheid and an ethnic cleansing yet some agree with this funding of war. Some are indifferent, immune to whatever may be the impact or repercussions, some are concerned that there may be terrorist attacks on the US. Meanwhile in CT, Black and Brown legislators are still radio silent on the issue, and privilege is pushing for Israel to take over.

Will Israel become the new Columbus? Muslims are being stigmatized and attacked, what does that remind you of? Somehow there is never enough money to improve communities or enthusiasm, but yet, there is for war. The man who started slavery and made facism, got statues and recognition for genocide and causing many years of suffering which Black and Brown people are still trying to recover from, will that be the same for Palestine? So many Black and Brown people are turning another face to what is happening in Gaza, the world’s largest prison, yet, there are so many similarities between the diasporas. Facism is not only the backbone of war on Palestine it is also the foundation of slavery and oppression.

Power, place, privilege, and Gaza

What we are seeing in Gaza was born from facism. The world is watching why people are being killed, bombed, isolated and left without food, water, basic human supplies. And you thought you had it bad? Humanity is failing Gaza

When you need to have hundreds of protests just to tell the world that it is not okay to bomb children, that is when you know humanity has failed. Please say a Dua for Palestine and ask Allah to give the people strength, protection and safety. People are discovering their children barely alive, if at all, so many displaced without food, water and medicine and no way out, yet the world is watching, as if in amusement. The people of Gaza called out to man for help, man did not hear their cry, or hear their voices and ignored their pain. This is an attack on Islam, people have had their job security threatened, lives threatened and are feeling displaced. The cruelty has no border. Please ask Allah to watch over Palestine and lead the people to safety.
